Discover Norfolk

The Norfolk Broads

Head beyond the outskirts of Norwich and you’ll find a National Park famous for its maze of man made waterways and the UK’s largest protected wetland. Explore the 200 miles of wilderness by boat, hire your own and kayak, canoe or paddle board your way through the rivers and lakes.

Local Features

At the heart of the Broads is the vibrant Roman city of Norwich. Drenched in a rich and diverse history, its home to some fine examples of Norman Architecture, most notably the iconic Cathedral, and Castle built by William the Conqueror. Roam the cobbled streets lined with timber framed buildings packed with independent boutiques, bustling bars, delicious eateries and a fabulous open air market at the centre of it all.

Heading out of Norwich into the wilds of The Broads you’ll find it teaming with forna and flora and pretty river side towns and villages. Don’t forget to pack your binoculars and look out for the lesser spotted Bittern, Swallowtail butterflies, otters and kingfishers and abundance of dragonflies.

The Norfolk Broads Musts

Often called the ‘Capital of the Broads’ Wroxham is a great place to hire a boat and discover the extensive waterways.

Head to Great Yarmouth’s pleasure beach for a nostalgic throw back to the golden age of great British seaside holidays! A mix of modern and classic rides and roller coasters and not forgetting the miles of sandy beaches.

Whether you’re attending a concert or simply looking for a magical day out, National Trust property Blickling Hall is a treasure trove of memories waiting to be made.
