In a hidden luscious landscape, not far from the coastline, stands a handsome Grade II listed Downton Abbey-esque retreat. The perfect escape for the whole gang, filled with morning hide and seek amongst the birdsong, lazy days exploring next doors Sandringham Estate, sunset steps along the vast empty beaches and night times by the fire with a glass of something red and a smorgasbord of local delights. This 18th Century Manor is nestled within 40 acres of rolling parkland, and oozing with sumptuous, sympathetic, and stylish interiors.

Introduction

Perfect for family gatherings or a group of friends, Ingoldisthorpe Hall is set within 40 acres of parkland offering privacy, tranquillity and wonderful views from every sash window over The Wash. The beautiful decor reflects its Georgian heritage with all the modern touches you could wish for.

Inside

On entering, there is a large entrance hall with a sweeping staircase leading up to the first floor. On the ground floor spacious inter-connecting sitting rooms are the perfect place to both celebrate and unwind with grand open fireplaces and classic Country House furnishings. On the First Floor the nine bedrooms are all beautifully furnished with period Four Poster Beds and stunning views across the parkland.

Outside

Approached via a sweeping shingle driveway the expansive grounds make for the perfect Country retreat for the ultimate escapism. Enjoy al fresco gatherings on the stone terrace, it’s a great spot for morning coffee, afternoon tea or pre-dinner drinks whilst soaking up the garden views. With laid-back luxury seating and a BBQ for outdoor feasts on catch-of-the-day, which can be bought directly from the fisherfolk on quays along the coast.

At sundowner o’clock why not enjoy a game of Croquet on the lawn or relax and rejuvenate in the terrace hot tub whilst drinking in the stunning Norfolk sunsets.

Room Descriptions

Living Areas

On the ground floor of Ingoldisthorpe Hall, the light and airy Drawing Room and Long Room have beautiful views across the garden. With classic comfy sofas both rooms are idyllic rooms to relax with an improving book or catch up with friends by the roaring fire. The Dining Room is classically furnished, perfect for supper, seating 28 with an inglenook fireplace featuring a double wood-burner.

The light and airy drawing room offers garden views, comfy sofas, and a cosy original open fire for gatherings.

The sizeable country kitchen/breakfast room seats up to 10 people, with a four oven AGA, oven, double butler sink, large fridge freezer and dishwasher. There is a second dishwasher in the utility room where you will also find the washing machine and tumble dryer. The walk-in larder also houses a second fridge freezer.

For some country house r&r head to the Coffee Room and peruse one of the lovely books. Or if you prefer something a little more energetic head to the Games Room where you can challenge someone to a game of chess, snooker or table football. Or hunker down in front of the flat-screen TV/DVD player whilst watching a movie or some sport.

The cosy library with its open fire is the room to challenge someone to a game of chess or cards, curl up with a good book, hunker down for a movie or some sport.
On the Ground Floor there is a cloakroom and utility room for those muddy boots, paws and clubs. There are also three downstairs toilets.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

There are nine bedrooms at Ingoldisthorpe Hall, two with original Four Poster beds and en-suite bathrooms. One is a double en-suite bedroom where you can indulge in the ultimate relaxation of the roll-top bath. There are three further double bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms. A further double bedroom, which shares a bathroom. A twin with en-suite bathroom and a bedroom with a bunk bed – perfect for those little ankle biters! All the bedrooms have high-quality crisp white linen, fluffy towels, bathrobes and complimentary soaps, shower wash and shampoo.

The place is a joy and our extended family had an absolute ball. Bedrooms were amazing the views stunning. All the facilities catered for our needs the weather played ball and stayed at 18c for the first weekend in March! The Hall has been beautifully kept with heaps of history to be viewed when inside
