Introduction

Dating back to 1745 The Folly was originally built as a small cottage and stables for those journeying from afar by horse and carriage. It was extended in 1820 in the architectural style of a ‘Folly’ with towers and castellations. This style was popular at the time and was principally aimed at showing off to the neighbours! Now a quirky, classically decorated and comfortable period property set in acres of simply stunning grounds.

When it’s time to relax, step through into the capacious double-height ceiling sitting room and sink into the sumptuous sofas with open fire to keep warm in Winter. It is a truly special scene, looking out you feel like you are in the treetops with far reaching west facing views out to sea at Snettisham on the horizon.

There are two terraces with ample seating perfect for social gatherings, relaxing in the large hot tub or enjoying a glass of fizz looking out over the formal gardens, undulating parkland. A further courtyard with fire pit and a table for more intimate gatherings, the perfect spot for enjoying a sundowner gathered around the firepit or toasting those s’mores for the children and grown-ups alike! Beyond lies a walled parterre garden where fun and games can be had on the trampoline and table tennis, as well as an outdoor fireplace and seating area.
