Introduction

A hidden gem tucked away in the famous Thetford Forest where Norfolk meets Suffolk. Striking the perfect balance of peace and possibility, this magical lodge combines modern comforts and luxuries - we’re talking cosy evenings by the roaring wood burner in winter and alfresco living in summer – with front row seats to mother nature.

Inside

Bijou yet perfectly formed for two, Foxtail lodge is open plan, cool and contemporary in style with a nod to the landscape beyond. It offers an all-year-round experience, a base from which to explore and adventure and a cosy retreat to return to for movie marathons and tasty home cooked meals packed with locally sourced produce.

Outside

A private hot tub for golden-hour dips as the sun slips below the trees, bistro seating for alfresco dining any time of the day and sun loungers to unfurl with a good book and a glass of something fizzy. You’ll find it hard to wander far from this boujee bolthole with its sweet seclusion. But when you do wander, you’ll discover a world of wildlife and woodland walks, proper pubs to enjoy and historic homes to explore.

There’s on-site parking for one car to the left of the property.

Step into a beautifully crafted open-plan hideaway where contemporary comfort meets rustic charm. This thoughtfully designed space combines a fully equipped shaker-style kitchen, intimate dining area, and serene sleeping quarters - all wrapped in soft, neutral tones and natural textures. The open plan area incorporates a kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and electric oven with ceramic hob and is well equipped.

There is a wall mounted swivel smart TV that can be viewed from several areas of the room. There is also a log burner, an outside table and chairs to seat up to 4 people and a hot tub over looking the large lawned garden. For summer alfresco dining there is a charcoal BBQ. An absolutely lovely lodge in a beautiful landscape. Cozy, clean, and private. We felt very welcomed by Jennifer and Tim and had a wonderful weekend in the forest.

We had a lovely stay, the place was clean, tidy and cosy. The location is great and there are many places to go to so we had some lovely days out. Jennifer was helpful when we arrived showing us everything and recommending local places to go to. The hot tub was lovely to relax in at night and watch the stars! We will definitely be looking to come back

From the moment we arrived we felt utterly welcomed. The host was there to show us round the lodge and show us how everything worked in the place. Browns cafe was amazing value for breakfast and only a 15 minute walk from the lodge, definite recommend. The hot tub was a lovely addition to the lodge and was enclosed off from the property. Everywhere in the lodge was spotless. Lovely walks surrounding the lodge. A must stay place!!

Beautifully located, warm and cosy cabin situated within Thetford forest. Great walks on the doorstep both in Thetford forest and around Lynford estate and stag. The hot tub was an added bonus. The cabin was warm and well equipped. Only thing missing (in terms of the kitchen amenities) would have been the addition of oven gloves. Otherwise perfect stay and very friendly, responsive hosts. Would definitely come back. Thankyou.

We had a lovely stay. The location was perfect for a peaceful getaway with the ability to walk out from the lodge into Thetford forest. The hot tub was a great addition and was wonderful and very relaxing after a day in the woods. Jennifer was a great host and gave us suggestions for walks and things to do in the area.
