Home Farm Stables - Sleeps 10
Holme-next-the-Sea, Norfolk, UK
Introduction
Home Farm Stables is a barn conversion with personality in spades. Original timber beams and statement spiral staircases sit alongside light-filled rooms and generous spaces designed to be enjoyed together. Better still, Holme’s sweeping beach and the North Norfolk Coastal Path are within easy reach, putting dunes, saltmarsh and those unmistakably vast Norfolk skies firmly on the agenda.
Inside
There’s plenty of room to gather here, without ever feeling on top of one another. Sociable open-plan spaces give everyone somewhere to come together, while tucked-away corners offer a little breathing room when you want it.
A thoughtful mix of ground-floor accommodation and flexible, family-friendly bedrooms makes the house particularly well suited to groups spanning generations. Throughout, the interiors are calm and understated, with natural textures, muted tones and subtle coastal details complementing the character of the original barn.
It’s comfortable, considered and refreshingly unfussy – a place that feels ready to be lived in from the moment you arrive.
Outside
Home Farm Stables is just as generous outdoors. Two private enclosed courtyards create sheltered spots for dining, drinks and time in the fresh air, while one of the ground-floor bedroom suites opens directly onto its own deck overlooking the pond.
It’s a particularly lovely corner of the property, catching the evening light and offering a peaceful place to disappear to with a book or simply watch the day draw to a close.
Beyond the garden, one of North Norfolk’s most beautiful stretches of coastline awaits. Home Farm Stables sits in the pretty village of Holme-next-the-Sea, surrounded by sandy beaches, wildlife-rich marshland, dunes and pinewoods. Nearby Holme Dunes Nature Reserve is a haven for walkers and birdwatchers, with an ever-changing landscape that feels wonderfully wild.
Days out need very little planning here. Holme Beach and the Peddars Way can both be reached on foot, while Brancaster and the villages, beaches and hidden corners of the wider North Norfolk coast are ripe for exploring.
And when appetites call, this part of Norfolk does food exceptionally well. Excellent pubs and restaurants rub shoulders with farm shops, delis and producers celebrating the best of the coast and countryside. Closer to home, The White Horse pub and bakery are within strolling distance – particularly handy when nobody fancies getting in the car.
The property is situated within a working livery yard, so there will be people and horses moving around the yard during your stay. You may hear or see activity around the property throughout the day. We hope this adds to the character and charm of the setting, but please bear this in mind when booking.
