Could there be a better way to while away the time than cosying up in this pretty barn conversion, the clink of fizz filled glasses dancing through the beams, as you watch the colours of sunset through the conservatory glass dance over the rolling countryside beyond.

Introduction

Tucked away in the whimsical village of East Rudham is this dreamy friends and family barn conversion. Spend your days exploring, discovering and wandering between coastal hot spots and countryside charm before retreating to your home from home with its timber beams, warm textures and sweeping views beyond the windows – this is a barn that feels rooted in Norfolk’s countryside while offering all the comforts of modern living.

Inside

Step inside and the barn reveals spaces that feel both wonderfully sociable yet perfectly peaceful. The kitchen and dining area form the heart of the home, a place for slow breakfasts, grazing boards and long suppers after days spent exploring the coast and countryside. Sunlight pours through generous windows, drawing the outside in and giving the living spaces an easy, relaxed feel where conversations drift late into the evening, board games are enjoyed and books are picked up and put down again between cups of tea. With one ground floor en-suite bedroom and upstairs, three more bedrooms provide the perfect balance for multi-generational stays and getaways together.

Outside

The barn spills onto a serene garden where mornings begin with coffee in the fresh country air, the children playing tag whilst you decide on the day’s adventures. Beautifully positioned in the village of East Rudham, stroll to the locally loved Crown pub for a pint and something to eat, or as evening settles, your garden becomes the backdrop for BBQ suppers and glasses of something chilled beneath Norfolk’s big, star-filled skies. And if you head to the bottom of the garden, not only will you discover a stunning rural vista but there’s also a helipad!

There is ample off-road parking at the property.

Guestbook

Very comfortable and well placed for local walks and visits to lovely beaches and parks. The garden was perfect for children and dogs. Plenty to do for each age group in our group ( 3 generations) and the bonus of an excellent restaurant in the village.

Mill Bakery is very clever conversion of a charming Mill into a lovely family home and in a superb location for exploring Norfolk. The accommodation is comfortable and spacious. The dining kitchen is perfect for large family dining and after dinner board games. Then there's an abundance of choice for relaxing quietly in the cosy lounge, stunning conservatory or fabulous garden, which is perfect for children to explore. The bedrooms were perfect for our three generations of extended family ages 3 to 70!, quiet and peaceful. It's easy to see why Mill Bakery is a much loved family holiday home. We would love to return. Many many thanks

We as a family of 9 had a fantastic stay at Mill Bakery. it catered for all our needs and more. For Adults we had the crown inn, a tea room with fantastic food and lovely walks. for the children we had the woods and they loved climbing the trees and a beautiful play park 3 minutes away. Holkham beach and hall was idyllic and for fun it was Hunstanton as it has it all. The host was superb and I will book there again.
